Charity Cocktails...

Last weekend I was asked by my best friend Rachelle to help sport a Tails Cocktail bar at a Charity event. Admittedly it took very little convincing with the prospect of some sunshine and a day of laughter, though it did help to learn that is was for an 'All Star' cricket event organised by McFly's Harry Judd- donating to two great charities. So off we headed to Leicester early one morning to set up and serve Tails Cocktails in the Sunday sun. We spent the day watching the cricket and soaking up some intermittent sunshine while serving some delicious pre-made premium cocktails; at the end of the event Tails donated all the proceeds to the two sponsored charities; The Teenage Cancer Trust and Eyes Alight Appeal, here's a few snaps from the day.

Summer love...

So having been basked in sunshine the last week or two, Instagram feeds fill up with hazy sunshine settings and the smell of charcoal barbecues fill the air, it seems we're more than ready to take on the summer and all it has to offer... be it fashion, interiors or travel here's what I'm loving right now.

Under reconstruction...

So we have recently begun the work on our new cottage, fortunately for us having a Dad in the industry has meant things have been moving quite quickly, with no horrid surprises...for now anyway!

We have been taking photos as we go, so that when we finally show off the finished product you can see how it all started... and where our weekends have disappeared to.

It changes everyday so check back to see whats new soon!

Industrial interiors.

Call it utilitarian, factory cast-off, French industrial; however you perceive it, the pared down, up-cycled look is classically reclaimed as a key look for interiors. How to do it? Look for over-sized metal pendant lighting, feature scrubbed wooden or metal tables and storage lockers, reveal a hard brick wall from the inside and give it a softer edge against chrome and white home furnishings. Add life and colour to an aging space using fresh green accents with plants and flowers. Industrialising your interior is a unique, personal way to create an imaginative, chic space, visit every reclamation yard possible, restore, re-use and most of all, do not throw anything away! See some inspiration below.

Time to go get industrial.

Autumn Leaves

I've recently decided that Autumn is my favourite time of year, as everything around us starts to turn golden, the sun sets earlier and the layers come out. Over the last few weeks I have been collecting images that best reflect this time of year before it disappears again. Here's a few warm and rusty autumn shades to carry us though to winter and keep us cosy wherever we go.

The Beehive Interiors

Here's a few snaps from my visit this weekend to the little gem that is known as 'The Beehive' in Devizes, Wiltshire. It's every interiors girls dream, chic, unique and full of timeless inspiration for the home, like an Aladdin's cave of vintage and nostalgic items that flows from one room, into another...into another, safe to say I left before sweet temptation could get the better of me!

Nomad.

An interiors mood board for a reader settling down into her new flat, Lucy considers herself a bit of travelling Nomad: A member of a community of people who move from one place to another, rather than settling permanently in one location.
